Okay, so I've been sick and it hasn't been fun, but now I'm better. I even got to eat solid food today. Anyway, back to updating the good things for the day.
1. I'm feeling so much better!

God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
1. Dr. Gary's speech in chapel today was God breathed!
2. Camp training tonight was the bomb!!!
3. Mark Lewis rocks my socks off!
I know there's more, but it's late and I'm tired. Remember to look for the needless joy in each day because God has put it there on purpose. |

I saw black ink on
an off-white card
resembling a card
I received a few years
back from a doctor
whose name I cannot recall
a few seconds later
I saw that same black ink
spilled on a white tank top
belonging to an innocent
bystander and the card
shredded, its pieces
swiftly descending to
the carpet
I heard a shout
more specifically I heard
"I don't fucking want it"
at which point I determined
you were irate and aptly found
my cue to exit stage left
sitting in my room
I calmly envisioned
1-800-RUNAWAY bulletin boards
and swore your picture would be
on one tomorrow
shortly after my vision
I concluded the fight outside
was my fault
then slapped myself for
ignorant thinking
much later I
witnessed tears streaming
from blackened eyes
and I sought to
determine the cause of
such agony
instead you gazed at me
and I understood
the ink stain
on the tank top
and the scattered pieces
of paper on the floor |
